Our community are a group of like minded people who all have the shared goals of improving the quality of life for people with an ABI and their families and creating environments where people feel inspired and positive about life.
We are families, young adults with an ABI, volunteers and partnering organisations with shared interests. Our community is not about volunteers “helping” people with disabilities. It is about participating as a community, learning from each other and breaking down the barriers.
Our volunteers are from a diverse range of backgrounds in allied health, education, youth work and disability as well as past participants who either have an ABI or a family member with an ABI.
Our families and young adults are involved in program planning, community fund raising, volunteer training and raising awareness of ABI through educating the wider community about the real life experiences of living with ABI.
