In this year of isolation, the HT community has sp In this year of isolation, the HT community has spent more time together than ever before. Through more than 80 events online, we’ve taken a giant step forward in accessibility and inclusion, and opened our door to a whole new community who couldn't previously access our face-to-face programs.

In 2021, we’re committing to deliver HT events both face to face and virtually. So, whether you're on a dairy farm in country Victoria or in the middle of Melbourne, whether you can’t wait to leave the house or like your loungeroom best, there’s a place for you in our community in 2021 and beyond.

Follow our social media for upcoming events, or get in touch on 0409 216 189.

Help us extend a warm HT welcome to Kristine, our Help us extend a warm HT welcome to Kristine, our new Families Manager, who started this week. (Wait, weren’t we hiring a Families Program Coordinator? Yes, we were, but when Kristine applied, we jumped at the opportunity to bring her skills and experience to the organisation. We'll be on the lookout for a Families Coordinator early next year.) We’re really excited to have Kristine’s expertise in the community sector to help grow our programs.

This is also the perfect moment for a very warm thank you to Kayla for all the work she has put into our Families program this year. Kayla – you've taken care of the program with enthusiasm and energy, and really gone the extra mile for our community, at the same time as giving your all to our Young Adults programs.

Thankfully, Kayla isn’t going anywhere. With Kristine’s appointment, Kayla will have even more time to dedicate to our Young Adults programs.

Last Thursday, HT community members Kate and Haile Last Thursday, HT community members Kate and Hailey were honoured to be part of “Seeing the full picture after brain injury”, a panel discussion organised by the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI). The webinar, which was aimed at medical and clinical students and professionals, was facilitated by Taylor, a neuropsychology student and HT volunteer.

We loved hearing Hailey generously share her incredible breadth of lived experience to bring crucial learning to the next generation of doctors and clinicians. It was also a great opportunity to put our heads together with clinical and research experts, including fellow panelists Prof Tamara Ownsworth, Prof Christine Imms and Dr Kate Gould.
