Volunteers

Volunteer with us to share your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm

Volunteers are the foundation of Heads Together. Simply put, we would not exist without them. Our volunteers support parents, kids, teens and young adults at our programs and events by being part of the community, joining in and having fun. They lead activities, facilitate conversations and connections, and provide a supportive and safe environment.

Who can volunteer?

At Heads Together, our volunteers bring diverse backgrounds and experiences, including allied health, education, youth work and disability. Many have lived experience, either having a family member or friend with brain injury, or having a brain injury themselves.

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over, and have a current National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.

How can volunteers help?

  • Share your positive energy and sense of fun by volunteering on our camping program, or online family events.
  • Join our social events for our teens and young adults, either face-to-face or online.
  • Drive positive change by supporting young adults in our ABILiTy leadership program to explore their dreams and challenges.
  • Volunteer for our parents program workshops, web events and Q&A sessions, to share expertise and knowledge.

There are so many ways Heads Together volunteers can get involved, including IT, photography, sport, social media skills, massage, professional services, administration support, arts and music.
